Iaomai Medical Ministries is Christ-Centered and dedicated to the ethical guidelines and principles set forth in this code of ethics so that the ministry may be honoring to God.

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.

Iaomai Medical Ministries is a Christian organization committed to providing physical and spiritual healing to the poor; in the spirit of the Great Physician. Iaomai Medical Ministries believes that the Lord Jesus Christ died for all humanity and this is the ultimate expression of God’s love for all people, everywhere. Each Iaomai Medical Ministries team seeks to serve the poor on each mission trip through the provision of modern medicine as well as sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As ambassadors for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Iaomai Medical Ministries volunteers will present themselves to patients and one another with in a manner that is pleasing to God.

 

Iaomai Medical Ministries will provide transformative healing to those most in need and will facilitate life-transforming experiences for volunteers.

Although Iaomai Medical Ministries desires to bring healing to the physically sick, the principal desire of Iaomai Medical Ministries is to bring spiritual healing to all and transform lives through the healing touch of the Lord Jesus Christ. Volunteers are given the opportunity to have a life changing experience that will spiritually transform them as they serve patients and one another through the use of their God-given gifts and talents.

 

Iaomai Medical Ministries will encourage compassionate caring for all in need, regardless of circumstance, status, or religion.

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

Iaomai Medical Ministries is called to care for others with compassion and understanding. Treatment and support is given to the poor, underserved, and many who have been outcast by their community due to physical afflictions. Recognizing that all people are God’s children, care is provided without regard for ethnicity, economic status or religious belief. Iaomai Medical Ministries volunteers will sacrifice their personal comfort, time, and resources so that others may experience the love and healing touch of the Lord Jesus Christ. Iaomai Medical Ministries volunteers demonstrate care to one another through exercising the fruits of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control.

Iaomai Medical Ministries is committed to providing the best possible healthcare by bringing together the best physicians, nurses, medical volunteers in the world – professionals who adhere to the specific ethical codes that govern their particular profession. Prior to each medical outreach, all volunteers and staff are screened to assure only qualified healthcare professionals are allowed to provide patient care. Iaomai Medical Ministries will assure that all volunteers are equipped, trained, and prepared for the ministry. Recognizing the power of partnerships, Iaomai Medical Ministries will build and strengthen internal collaboration among volunteers through team-building, open dialogue, and continual support. Iaomai Medical Ministries will develop and maintain external relationships with other nonprofit agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private enterprises, the medical community, local governments, national governments, international governments, and donors through effective communication.

 

Iaomai will share our ministry model to educate and encourage other organizations and communities, so that more people may be healed.

For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you, nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. We did this not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to make ourselves a model for you to follow.
